DJ Fresh & Sigma ft Koko – Lassitude (29th November on Breakbeat Kaos)
Following on from the success of previous releases ‘Gold Dust’ (in the Top 40 chart for six weeks, MTV Dance A-list) and ‘Talkbox’, this is the next single to be taken from the critically acclaimed album ‘Kryptonite’ by the infamous DJ Fresh. A partnership of DJ Fresh and Sigma, a duo currently riding massive waves of success, was only ever going to be sensational. One of the standout cuts from the album, ‘Lassitude’ is a feel good, big room vocal stormer with rawkus sing-along lyrics & punching break whilst the flipside ‘Cylon’ couldn’t be more different. Once again they’ve come up trumps with an epic nasty mentasm-led track that’s had clubs going nuts for the past few months thanks to the likes of Andy C championing it in his sets. Instantly recognizable with its frenetic bongo
break and Battlestar Galactica vocal this one takes no prisoners. The accompanying package is what remix dreams are made of with Mt.Eden, Jakwob, Hot Pink Delorean, and Kamuki providing something for everyone.

Biography
“Fresh has perhaps been the biggest influence on drum & bass we’ve ever known” Knowledge Mag
“One of the most talented and diverse producers in electronic music” Andy C
“A massive tune, Fresh has done it again” Zane Lowe

Rightfully earning a place on Radio 1’s playlist with his last single Hypercaine, it was expected that DJ Fresh, aka Dan Stein, would follow it up with another slamming release from forthcoming album Kryptonite dropping at the end of July.
Fans won’t be let down, the eagerly anticipated follow up Gold Dust is guaranteed to create dance floor destruction around the globe from Ibiza, to Miami and back to the UK!!

Injecting new life and adding a vocal twist from the unmistakable talent that is, Ce’cile (Sean Paul, Timberlake, Jay Sean). The battle of scintillating melodic vocals, colliding with the tougher, raw bass and beats makes for the ultimate summer anthem!!
Little else could be expected from half of the duo responsible for one the most successful drum and bass labels in the world. Stein’s part in producing and releasing tracks from artists at the forefront of the D&B scene such as Pendulum and Chase & Status, is highlighted in his own personal accomplishments.

Having blown onto the scene as the fore-figure of Bad Company the ‘Wu-Tang of drum & bass’ (NME) back in 1998 releasing classics such as ‘The Nine’ voted ‘Best Track Of All Time by members of D&B Arena and charting at #22 in the Official Charts, Fresh went solo in 2003 producing the #11 hit ‘Barcelona’ along with producing #4 hit for the Pet Shop Boys.

With mixes from Michael Delinquent Project, the brains behind hugely successful garage outfit Delinquent. Dubstep’s rising star Flux Pavilion, the hugely talented Vent who smashes out a grimey dubby refix which is sure to dissolve dance floors when the tempo switches up a notch half way though! And finally Sammy J, this lady has remixed Snoop, Beverly Night and reworks Gold Dust into a piano house masterpiece!!

With a packed summer of touring dates from the USA to Russia and back again, you can look forward to witnessing Fresh’s hype for yourself at Global Gathering, Fabric & Innovation in the Sun, to name a few!!
For sure, “Gold Dust” will be ‘mashing up airwaves’ around the globe this summer!!
